TDA is excited to announce upcoming events in the TAFETalks series.

Registration for these events is free! If you cannot attend the event live, register anyway and you will receive a link to the recording.

TAFETalks provide a virtual platform for TAFE staff and other interested VET stakeholders to come together, to share, learn and create connections across institutes and states and territories on current issues and priorities.

TAFE staff are strongly encouraged to attend events and to participate fully in the Q&A sessions and group chat, however, TAFETalks are open to all interested stakeholders.

They will share practical insights, real-world examples, and actionable strategies for leveraging AI to amplify learning experiences, enhance student engagement, and ensure responsible use in educational settings. Whether you are exploring AI-driven solutions or looking to refine your content strategy, this webinar will equip you with the tools and knowledge to lead with confidence and integrity in the evolving landscape of education.

Sam Crowe Senior Advisor Educator Capability, TAFE Queensland
Sam Crowe has been with TAFE Queensland for the past 13 years. With a strong background in educational technologies and a passion for enhancing educator skills, Sam has been instrumental in driving initiatives that support and empower educators across the organisation. Sam has played a pivotal role in various projects at TAFE Queensland aimed at improving the digital learning experience for both educators and students. Sam actively supports the TAFE Queensland AI Taskforce and promotes the use of AI among educators to enhance teaching and learning experiences. Her commitment to professional development is evident through the active involvement in organising and leading training sessions and webinars. Sam’s collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders have fostered a supportive and inclusive learning environment, making a lasting impact on the educational community.

Vasi Doncheva, Manager Learning Design & Technologies, Chisholm Institute
Vasi is experienced educational technology and learning transformation agent. She has lead development and implementation of key change initiatives, fostering innovation and creativity through innovative use of technology, curriculum and assessment design for online, blended and workplace-based learning, since 2005. Currently she is the Manager Learning Design & Technolgies at Chisholm Insititute and chair of the TDA GenAI Network.

Tony Maguire, Regional Director, D2L
Tony is the Regional Director at D2L Australia and New Zealand, leading the team and executive-level engagement across the ANZ region. He is a seasoned executive and industry leader whose experience ranges from Fortune 500 companies including Apple and Oracle to advising entrepreneurial start-ups and leading regional market entries for global companies.
