Ewa is the Director, International Engagement at TAFE Directors Australia since December 2019.
Ewa has extensive experience in the design and management of international education and training programs, particularly in the vocational education and training sector. She has also significant experience in policy planning and advocacy, partnership development and capacity building in countries across the Asia-Pacific region and Africa.
Ewa’s experience includes working for eight years for the French Development Agency, France’s provider of official development assistance to developing countries, particularly in Africa, Asia and the Pacific. At AFD, Ewa worked at the Research Department and the Division of Education, Training and Employment, coordinating aid programs and research projects in the field of education and training in partnership with organisations like the World Bank, the ILO, UNESCO, the Asian Development Bank and the German Cooperation. After moving to Australia, Ewa was Manager of International Projects at Federation Training (currently TAFE Gippsland), focusing on offshore activities such as Australian Aid funded projects and customised training to industry in the Pacific, South East Asia and Africa. Ewa has recently worked as International Partnership Coordinator at Deakin University, developing and coordinating the university’s research partnerships across Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Ewa is committed to promoting education and training, particularly in developing countries, and providing them with relevant skills to build socially inclusive communities as well as strong and environmentally sustainable economies.
Ewa has a Masters by Research in Political Sociology and a Masters in International Organisations and Development Studies from the Institute of Political Studies (Science Po) Paris. She also holds a Masters in Comparative Literature from the University of Paris Sorbonne.
