TAFE SA International student ambassadors
TAFE SA international student ambassadors have been selected for 2020. The students are all high achievers who love to participate in student life and now call Adelaide their second home. These students have put themselves forward to share their lives and experiences with the international student community. They are on hand to provide a friendly face and words of advice for TAFE SA’s international students – an important role in this tough COVID-19 year.

Owen has been a student ambassador since 2019. Originally from Malaysia, he understands that students sometimes get homesick. What are Owen’s top tips for homesickness? “Eat some food from your home country, keep in-touch with your family and friends, stay positive, and don’t give yourself a hard time (the most important message of all).”
International student ambassador, Tasmin, is studying tourism, hospitality and events management. He is originally from Bangladesh but has been living in Adelaide for over two and a half years. During this time he has learnt a lot about Adelaide and what a wonderful city it is for students, and has volunteered for a number of different fundraising events and community organisations.
