TAFE SA’s trailblazing female apprentices have been featured on Channel 9’s Adelady program.

Hayley and Lauren from Adelady, a South Australian lifestyle platform celebrating the best of South Australia, recently spent a day at TAFE SA’s Tonsley Campus getting to know more about trades training.

Their program featured three TAFE SA female apprentices – Monica Elgindi, Brittany Dekuyper and Phoebe Stidiford – who are pursuing non-traditional career paths and each offered advice to inspire other women to consider a trade.

Currently, women represent less than three percent of the workforce in trades across the country.

TAFE SA is striving to increase diversity within the trade workforce by showcasing the vast opportunities in this sector to women of all backgrounds and stages of their career journeys.

Lecturer Andie Grummett also appeared on the program and explained the benefits of studying with TAFE SA, including hands-on, relevant training, authentic tasks and our great connections with industry.
